Santrev is now the exclusive distributor in Australia for Apex Predator

At the AMC/PIX/APL Food with Purpose 2026 event, Santrev announced it had added another industry critical product distributorship to its capabilities.
The company has become the exclusive Australian distributor for the Texan US based Apex Predator Mortality Disposal company which manufactures poultry mortality management equipment.
The Apex Predator is a thermal dehydrator that efficiently converts poultry mortality into valuable byproducts, offering an ecofriendly, cost effective and fast solution for waste management.
“This equipment offers poultry producers a cleaner way to manage daily mortality,” said Luke Trevanion, CEO of Santrev.
“The enclosed thermal dehydration system reduces potential odors, pest incursions, and biosecurity concerns while producing a sterile end product.”
It is electric powered and constructed from heavy duty galvanized steel. By using electricity as the power source there is no requirement for volatile fuels or open flame ignition.
The design of the unit does not require constant maintenance, but it does, however, feature the capability for remote monitoring with built in diagnostics and alerts.
It also calculates load weight and run time automatically and features simple operation via straightforward controls.
The predator is designed for long term reliable performance, easy operation, and Santrev will provide nationwide product support.
The end product is a valuable dry pathogen free material, that can be used as a fertiliser and it is suitable for application on cropping paddocks.
Two models of the Apex unit will be available for the Australian market.
One offers a maximum load capacity of 1000 Lbs with a 100lb/hour processing time. The unit has no minimum load requirement and has a 4ft length loading door.
The other features a max load capacity of 2000Lbs, the same processing time and no minimum load requirement and a 6ft long entry door.
“Enclosed thermal dehydration helps to reduce exposure time, limit scavenger attraction and thus protect flock health through secure on farm processing,” the information literature available from Santev stated.
Poultry Digest met Colton Johnson, the Texas US-based sales representative from Apex on the Santrev stand at PIX recently.
Brydee Trevanion, the Executive Operations Manager at Santrev, who was also on the exhibition stand, revealed that Charlie Mayne (Development Manager Santrev) and Mason Trevanion will be responsible for the sales of the Apex product in Australia.
Apart from the day to day need to manage poultry mortalities on farm, the recent outbreaks of H7AI last year in Australia clearly demonstrated the urgent need for the efficient and biosecure ability to deal with the large numbers involved when the need to cull effected flocks arises.
Santrev’s new Apex Predator unit for mortality disposal could indeed be a valuable tool to deal with a huge problem of that kind.
